Podcast episode 94: Rob Lowney on group portfolios
Yesterday, 7:35
Hi everyone,
Dublin City University is celebrating its 10th Mahara anniversary later in the year. They are active community members and share their portfolio work freely in publications and at events. Recently, I had the opportunity to interview Dr Rob Lowney, SCMALT, SFHEA, SFSEDA, Senior Learning Technologist in DCU's Teaching and Enhancement Unit. He and his colleague Noeleen O'Keefe in particular, currently support the portfolio initiative that reaches into many study programmes at DCU.
In his interview, Rob talks about group portfolios and their benefits. DCU sponsored the group submission functionality that is now available to everyone in Mahara 26.04 via the Mahara assignment submission plugin for Moodle. The updated plugin will be available soon in the Moodle plugin database, but you can already check out the code if you want to start exploring it yourself.
Listen to Rob's episode to learn why group portfolios and easy administrative workflows around them matter and how DCU supports students in their portfolio creation. You can listen in your favourite audio podcast player or on the website for 'Create. Share. Engage.' Also take note of the upcoming events where you can meet Rob and the DCU team to catch up with them.
Cheers
Kristina
