Hi

We are having a problem with learners uploading office 2010 files, word.docx files for example. I have added the following code to the filetypes.xml file but it has not made any difference, the files whilst uploaded are seen to be zip files and a tutor cannot view the file contents

<description>docx</description>

<mimetypes>

<mimetype>application/msword</mimetype>

</mimetypes>

</filetype>

This is a known bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/803229

It hasn't been fixed yet.

Hi Kevin,

I'm trying to fix this issue but cannot reproduce it myself, can you please try adding the following patch:

Hi Melissa,

I had encountered this problem a number of times. It also happens on demo.mahara.org. If you show me how I can apply a patch, I can test it tomorrow. Or can I get it from reviews as well?
