Hello,

We are planning to start using OpenID connect plugin (Mahara-auth_oidc).

I can see that it was last updated about 10 years ago, while the version available through mahara seems to have been updated in 2023 (Version : 2023061500, release = 1.0.2)

Is it considered secure and would it be supported in longterm by mahara ?

Hi Akash,

Since July 2023 the OpenID authentication module was added to be part of core code so that old thirdparty module is not needed (or recommended for use) anymore.

The OIDC authentication module in core is maintained by the core team and meets the security standards of Mahara.

This plugin is planned to be around for quite some time as OpenID is an Internet authentication standard.
