is it possible to install mahara in shared hosting

Hi There
is it possible to install mahara in shared hosting. bcos when i tried to install using mysql5 and i got the below error
error message :
You are not using a UTF-8 database. Mahara stores all data as UTF-8 internally. Please drop and re-create your database using UTF-8 encoding.

Hi - yes, it's possible, although it's not something we encourage.
If you created the database yourself, you should drop it and try again, making sure it uses the utf8 encoding.
If your host made it for you, you should submit a support ticket to them, asking if they can re-create the database for you.
