Hello,

I am an administrator of a Mahara site (Mahara version 21.04) and one of the users of my site had an error and deleted his user account.

Menu = "Profile - Settings - Preferences - Delete account"

I have looked in the "usr" table in the database and I see that in the field "deleted" there are 16 users with the value "1", but the usernames that can now be seen in the database are strings of characters, with more than 30 letters and numbers.

How can I decrypt those 16 character strings to find out what username I'm looking for?

And another question: after knowing which user I am looking for, is it possible to recover his profile, his pages and all his content?

Thank you very much

Juan

Hi Juan,

Unfortunately, once accounts are deleted in Mahara, all personal data for that account is wiped from the system. This protects the privacy of personal data.

Do you have back-ups of the site of which you can export the account? That would be the only way to recover the account and import it back into your Mahara.

Kind regards,

Doris
