Hi,

When you delete a user account, all personal data is wiped from the system. The user’s contributions in groups, e.g. forum messages, uploaded files and pages created in a group, are still available, but are made anonymous by changing the name to « Deleted user » as author where an author is shown.

In accordance with rgpd compliance, I'd like to also offer the possibility to not only anonymize contribution but delete them when the user is deleted.

Is there already a function to do this ? If not which process do you recommand ?

Many thanks in advance for your advice.

Regards,

Lilian

Hi Lilian,

Currently there is not a way to completely remove all content for a user from Mahara.

I've created a wishlist item to investigate what is needed to achieve a total scrubbing of a user from the system

https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/1878690

Sorry, there is no ETA on this at the moment

Cheers

Robert

Hi Robert,

Many thanks for your answer and for having created the wishlist item.

I do not completely agree with some of your proposals... In order to be more efficient and to initiate the debate, I'll put my comment directly in the whishlist discussion.

Regards,

Lilian
