Hi I have just installed mahara-17.10.3 and am unable to create a new institution.

I get this error:

Hi James,

The error code is a general one. What browser are you using? Does it happen the same if you change to another one?

Also, have you turn on the error logs for the site? They may show you more information about the problem you are having.

To enable the error logs you should add the following line to the config.php file

$cfg->productionmode = false;

this should display more information to the screen in case Mahara throws and exception.

thanks for the response. I ended up solving the problem by updating mysql database to latest version and all is now well.
