I install mahara with Windows
why i upload file can not see the image
picture can not show up

didn't have any error messages
he show"Upload of xxxxx.jpg to Home/ complete"
and I see my dataroot = 'c:\maharadata'---> have my upload file
I don't know why Image can not show up
but my icon picture can show up

If that's happening, I wonder if the errors have gone into a different error log maybe.
Is your site available publicly? Maybe I could log in and have a look around?

not yet , I only install in my computer
I find him has Similar problems

Hi - I have a suspicion there is a security check that is breaking the images. Can you add this to config.php and let me know if it works?:
$cfg->insecuredataroot = true;

hmmm, I was having this issue with an installation at a shared host (LAMP, but shared none the less). I added this line to my config and the images are showing up fine, now. The datafiles are still below the domain root.
Now, off to see what else I can break...
This is a GREAT piece of software!!!
