On my Mahara site ( mahara.solutolearning.com), I am not able to login as an admin. After the first attempt itself, I get a message that 'credentials supplied are wrong, You have exceeded the permissible attempts and hence the system is locked up for 5 minutes'.

Is this to be tackled by Mahara or by my developer? I think it is a Mahara problem but I could be wrong. Any ideas, any help?

Thanks

Hi Alok!

This could be a problem with your cron. Have you set this up correctly? If not (take a look at this wiki.mahara.org/index.php/System_Administrator's_Guide/Cron_Job) or go to mahara.solutolearning.com/lib/cron.php to make it run for once. This should clear a value from the database which is responsible for locking you out :).

More information could be seen in this forum also: mahara.org/interaction/forum/topic.php?id=7143&offset=0&limit=10#post28825

Hope this helps and please let us know if this was helpful!

All the best,

Kait

Thanks, Kait. I did see some comment cropping up earlier - 'cron not setup'. This must be it. We'll look into it immediately.

Thanks. Very nice of you. Very helpful.
