Disable emailing for new account creation

Is there a way to disable emailing the user after new account creation? We set up LDAP for authenticaion; so, it is confusing the users when they see the email and tried to use the internal password and get rejected. Thanks

How are you creating the users? If you set up LDAP, I would have thought they would just log in and have their account created upon first login, which wouldn't send an e-mail?

Even when using the LDAP authentication method you still must add the user or they will not be able to login.

If you configure the LDAP authinstance and tick the 'we auto-create users' checkbox, then pre-creating the accounts is unnecessary. Is that functionality working for you?

Thank you very much that worked great! I hadn't ticked the 'we auto-create users' checkbox when configuring LDAP so I went back and did. Worked like a charm and no more pre-creating accounts and no annoying emails
