A serious test of usability of the platform Mahara
24 May 2009, 14:02
Finally, I managed to attend to a serious test of the general functionality of Mahara.
I must say, now after months of experience in various directions on the platform Mahara, who still find it extraordinary.
Renewal, therefore, my complinmenti to all the Staff.
I predict a big future for this software. Its use, among others as a simple e-portfolio, it can certainly be extended. I will say this debate on.
I must say that I did not take notes during systematic browsing for which you have to wait a while for a report on time.
But I do not want to irritate the development team playing the expert. I will however allow me to give my point of view, quiet and serene in the future of this platform, hoping to be helpful at the same time to all users around the world.
Now, however, I wish to make an application immediately. What is the management of the institution View that the development team has provided? How they are made available to the user the institution? I have tried to create a View for an institution, but when I run the permissions do not understand the institution as a user can access the View. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi - I'm not sure I understand your question, but will give a general explanation of institution views. They're there mainly so that institutions can make templates for users in their institution to copy. Institutions can also set a flag to say that new users in their institution should get a copy of the view.26 May 2009, 8:34

I was looking at this yesterday and realised that it was impossible for the institution to give access for their view to just the users in their institution. Seems like a bit of an oversight! Something we will have to deal with at some ponit.
