My install has been using user subdomains for almost two years without issue but after switching to a wildcard ssl the user pages do not display. It only shows the dashboard without any warnings.

Can anyone confirm that user domains will work with a wildcard ssl?

Hi Patric,

First off I'd need to know in which way are you using user subdomains? Are you meaning https://user1.example.com/ or https://user1.portfolio.example.com/ or are you meaning https://www.example.com/~user1/ or some other flavour of user subdomains?

For a wildcard SSL certificate for *.example.com will match portfolio.example.com but not user1.portfolio.example.com

Cheers

Robert

Hello,

I only have first level sub-domains (portfolio.example.com) which are working fine until I force https. Then you are continuously kicked to the dashboard trying to access them when you are logged in. The link to the user profile also gets another level of the sub domain tacked on each time you use the link (portfolio.portfolio.example.com).
