Previous post of a page feedback doesn't clear when placing a second feedback
16 May 2014, 0:21
Hi
Some of our lecturers are using the page feedback function extensively. They found that the previous post of a page feedback doesn't clear when placing a second feedback. It's not an error, but can be very annoying. Anyone else here has noticed the same issue? Any solutions for this?
The steps to replicate this issue is as follows:
- Go to a Portfolio page
- Click on the "Place feedback" button at the bottom of the page
- Type in a text in the message area and submit
- Click on the "Place feecback" button again
You will see the previous text is still there in the message area.
Many thanks,
Shen

Hello Shen,
happens to me too. However, when I logout and back in its not happening. Also not happening when I comment as another user.
Are you familiar with reporting this as a bug? You can do it here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara
I will add another bug in that in a series of feedbacks I left on a page, I can only edit the last one.

Hi Shen,
Thank you for alerting us to this problem.
The bug report for this problem is here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/1321972
This problem looks to effect version 1.9 and earlier - I've added a patch for v1.9
https://reviews.mahara.org/#/c/3377/
Once it gets accepted I'll backport the fix to the other branches.
Cheers
Robert
