Hi

We are still on Mahara 1.04 and I've been unable to upload an MS Publisher file.  I would have thought this would have been covered by the unknown application file type?

The message given is: Upload of ....... failed: You are not allowed to upload files of this type. 

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Yes - it's broken in Mahara 1.0.X - publisher files are detected incorrectly (often as word documents, but sometimes not even that).

Uploading them works in Mahara 1.1. By the way, 1.0.4 is quite old now, you should consider at least upgrading to the latest version of 1.0 (at this time it is 1.0.11), due to some security holes found in previous versions.

Thanks Nigel, I had a feeling you would say it was an issue that was fixed in a later version!  I know we need to upgrade but I'm on the front end and so it's not under my control .  I'll pass the info on anyway, sure we'll be upgrading soon!
