Hello All,

I am a newbie here in this forum. I have an upcoming project which have requirements closely with the features of Mahara / moodle. I dont have deep knowledge about Moodle / Mahara but I am curious if this project  can be implemented by Mahara / Moodle with little customization. I will post the requirement here, if some one can go through and tell me if its possible to implement using Mahara / Moodle, then it would be nice.

E- portfolio basically a profile as in social networking sites like
Facebook. The profile for student will have sections  like
        1. Personal Details
        2. Academic Details
        3. Lesson Plan
        4. Journal
        5. Projects
        6. My teaching philosophy
        7. Photos
        8. Videos
        9. CV as attachment

User classes are 4. All of these must have profiles, except Guest.

1. Student
2. Teacher
3. Employers
4. Guest


Grading System

The following sections must be applicable for grading. Grading will be
based on some rubrics. Science Teacher can only grade for science
related topics, access permission is important
1. Lesson Plan
2. Videos
3. Project
All of the above sections must be applicable for making comments.


Profile Creation /Registration.

When a student/teacher/employer register a profile, the admin should
get a notification, only after consent of admin, the profile must be
created, then that notification should go back to
student/teacher/employer


Communication
There should be a message communication system between student and
teacher, student and employers.

Notification
Students must get a notification alert on their profile when a new
message from employer, a graded incident from teacher etc. Same system
should be applicable for teachers and employer profile. A notification
should be sent to their email on specific situations.

Guest Login

Guest / Public can  login to the system using OpenID/wordpress/google
ID/ Facebook


Search Feature.

There should be an effective search feature for system. Search can be
simple search and advanced search.

Search can be done on basis of
1.Keyword
2. Lesson Plan
3. Subject
4. Faculty
5. Date
