Hi
I've been asked to increase the Mahara data storage limit for our media students to over 1 gb. As it stands the server we're running on doesn't have a whole lot of space and most students only have 50meg of space.
The media department however do however have their own NAS. It would be great if there was a way that media students could have their data stored on this NAS and whilst all the other students continue to have data stored on the mian server.
Is there any way to do this?

Hi Dan,
No, it's possible to do what you describe precisely, due to how the file storage in mahara works.
However, you should be able to have the entire mahara data directory in a remote mounted partition, or even an external harddrive plugged into your server. However, this would be All the students, not just the media students.
Alternatively, you could investigate Gregor's Cloud plugin: https://mahara.org/interaction/forum/topic.php?id=5134#post22176
Thanks,
Melissa.
