Hi All,

I have migrated a Mahara instance from an old Linux Server to a new Linux server.

On the new server I have set up the config.php file with the correct details but I am getting the following:

Mahara could not connect to the application database.

* If you are using Mahara, please wait a minute and try again
* If you are the administrator, please check your database settings and make sure your database is available

The error received was:
postgres7 error: [-1: Database connection failed] in CONNECT(xx.xxx.x.xx, 'cullyb_madamin', '****', cullyb_mahara)

I am running postgresql-8.4.12-1.el6_2.x86_64

Any help on this would be great.

PS: I have full root access to the server so if any config changes need to be made I can certainly do so.

Thanks :)

Hi Graham,

I would suggest checking that your postgres setup is allowing the database to connect. Is your pg_hba.conf set up correctly to allow the access?

Thanks,
Melissa
