I previously had a question regarding blogs and posting and getting feedback from my classmates for a presentation.  Would a forum be more appropriate for this type of activity?

I will be posting a file with my reflections and looking for input on that.

Hi Sheila,

it would be a good idea to create a group within mahara to meet with your classmates and present them your E-Portfolio. In the group area you can use the forum to discuss things. The postings in the forum can be a good step to show feedback and your reflexion about the lerning process.

So, I have created a group space on my site.

How do I invite others to post to my forum?  If it is owner controlled how do they gain access?

Hi Sheila,

send your collegues a mail with your group (http://mahara.org/group/view.php?id=69). Your setting "rewuest membership" is ok.

Do you create a forum? I think they will like it if you add a first posting in your gropu forum with a shortwelcome text and a little "howto".
