I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction re e-mails. In 1.3 emails used to be sent for feedback, watchlists, friend request, messages and new view access, but we are now only getting emails for new messages (in 1.4). The e-mail and emialdigest plugins are installed. Can anyone advise which file contains the necessary code to change this. I especially nned to have mahara send out e-mails to students when feedback is left and to staff when activity on watchlists is carried out.

Hi Kevin,

You should have a look in your cron log (if you have one) to see if there are any errors in there that might help to track down the problem.  Some of the notifications you're talking about (feedback, watchlist, view access) are delayed and sent out by the cron script.

If your cron output isn't being logged, it's easy enough to set that up.  There are some examples at https://wiki.mahara.org/index.php/System_Administrator%27s_Guide/Cron_Job
