I have done a new install of 1.2 on Ubuntu Server 10.04.  Everything appers to be be working until you try to edit a views layout.  Then I get the error:

Mahara: Site unavailable

Something in the way you're interacting with Mahara is causing an error.
Details if any, follow:

What setting have I missed?

Hi Kyle,

Can I suggest that you try a more recent version of Mahara? Version 1.2 is now out of security support and the current version is 1.4. It can be downloaded from: http://launchpad.net/mahara/1.4

Regards,

Andrew

We will use 1.4 in the future, but I need to be able to use 1.2 for the moment. The 1.2 package installed  was a stable build.  Any other suggestions?

K.

Kyle, are you using a custom theme that overrides any templates?

If so, check that the sesskey input that was added to the raw theme's layout.tpl template in https://gitorious.org/mahara/mahara/commit/9540cd2f4cb2746e752f3bbee37324cca390e6a0 is also added in to your custom template.
