Hello, I'm building training videos for my institution, and have a question about Groups, and how Group Files behave.

Specifically... if members of a Group upload files to the FIles area within that Group, does that count against their personal account's "quota?" Or, do those files get stored somewhere else, separate from their account?

(We limit individual account sizes to 1GB.)

Unfortunately, it currently doesn't count against their quota.

In Mahara 1.5 however, admins will have the ability to set quotas for groups too.

Thank you for the help.

So, I guess that means Group Files are stored separately on the server, by Group?

The feature isn't used much at our university yet, but it's good to know that we'll be able to set a quota in the future.
