We got a strange problem here with adding an e-mail address in profiles. It is not working for most users as it seems:

I added an e-mail address under "Profile".  After I saved my profile Mahara puts me back to the first tab of the menu "About Me" with a message "Profile saved successfully". But I never got any e-mail and there is no message under "Contact information" that a new e-mail address is pending.

I tested with three profiles, two of them created just new.

But it works for the admins profile, after adding a cron-job as he stated (cannot deliver more details here without asking him). I asked if it is because he got special admin rights but he explained that he tried without these rights and it works for him, too.

E-mails are delivered though in general (system messages, password recovery ...).

Perhaps related:

- We cut off the contact form because we couldn't find where Mahara sends e-mails to. (I'm afraid I cannot say something more specific to this topic, because I'm not the admin.)

I couldn't find any forum topic and no bug addressing this problem directly.

We use Mahara 1.3.6 german (same behaviour in previous 1.3.5 and 1.2.?X).

As every user is registered via LDAP maybe the problem maybe LDAP?
But with a test user registered without LDAP it is the same.

Cannot understand why it works for only one person ...
