I have been attempting to install mahara for some time and each time it comes up with file not found. After looking at the error logs, it seems according to the host, that the program will not work unless it is connected to a domain. At one time I almost got it to work, but did not understand the data directory had to be outside of the public_html directory. So it comes down to this. Will it work without the domain attached? This is not a shared hosting situation, I don't think. I really need some help.
