Not made much progress with this. However, have noticed FreeMind Flash display works for public pages with Internet Explorer 8 , but not with Firefox, Google Chrome or Opera

Guessing it works with the ActiveX version of Flash Player but not the general plugin version.

Flash Player 11.1.102.55 in all cases

Have now fixed the issue with embedded FreeMind mind map display in shared pages with some browsers.

Following a hint from Gregor, I have replaced visorFreemind.swf with visorFreeplane.swf and the corresponding swfobject.js with flashobject,js.

Have also used a static embedding method rather than a dynamic embedding method.

Freeplane is an actively developed fork of Freemind and works with the same .mm files.

I have also added an additional 'Nodes' control to the configuration interface. This enables the extent of display of the nodes to be controlled for the initial display of the mind map.
