Let's introduce a new authentication plugin for Mahara.

It relies on the web server for authentication.

The plugin has been designed to work primarily for Shibboleth but should work as well with other web server based authentication schemes.

Code source can be found here:

Hello Laurent,

Thanks a lot, that is an interesting plugin, well done! Would be great if you will find a spare moment to write a short wiki page with instructions how to use it: http://wiki.mahara.org/Plugins Also, if you like a contrib repo for you on gitorious can be created, just let us know.

Hi folks

I'm new to Mahara... just installed the latest version and trying to get the shibboleth plugin working. I grabbed the code from code.google.com and when I go to the plugin admin page in Mahara it now lists the shibboleth plugin under auth, but it has the following error:

"Not installable! class PluginAuthShibboleth for type auth in plugin shibboleth was missing"

Has anybody actually used the shib plugin and gotten it to work? Any ideas? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!
