I have a very active moodle site running on os x which would appear to not support the serving of mahara.  We are experimenting with Mahara and may with to integrate SSO, can this be done after we already have regular mahara users and records?

P.S. When I install on os x mahara insists that I log-in after every command sent via browser.  Cannot find any issues with permissions as suggested and my linux installs work without flaws.

Yes, you can integrate the sites after you've created accounts on the Mahara. Although if you want users to SSO from the Moodle into their existing Mahara accounts, you will have to change the 'authinstance' for those accounts to the XMLRPC authinstance you set up (which can be done via the user edit page).

Regarding OSX - we don't officially support running Mahara on OSX, but I can suggest you look at the 'insecuredataroot' configuration variable, you might need to turn that on to prevent those problems.
