Views imported into Blog
16 February 2011, 21:15
I exported a portfolio from a Mahara 1.3 site, and then imported it into another Mahara 1.3 installation. After importing: the views are not in the My Views section, but the My Blogs section. They seemed to have come in twice: first as a blog and then there is a list of each view under a My Views heading (in My Blogs). When I click on the views listed there, they actually open the view in the other Mahara site--so they appear to still be linked to that site.
What did I do wrong?

How did you export your mahara portfolio? Did you use Leap2A format?
How did you import your file into the other mahara platform?

Yes, exported using the LEAP2, and imported by selecting LEAP 2 upload in the Create User section.

Ok. If you don't have any confidential informaiton in your export, could you send me a copy of it. it will try to import it into my own installation and see what happen.
You could mail me if you prefer (djan[at]ma[dot]com)

The file is over 50 Mbs. Will that be a problem?
If you would prefer I could give you access to both Mahara accounts.

Ok, give me the detail into my personal email, not on the forum (djan[at]mac[dot]com) and give me more detail on what you did (user your exported, what you selected to export, etc.)
Will keep you posted with my tries thereafter.
