Mahoodle SSO breaks after server relocation...

Just need a bit of confirmation here....

My Mahoodle server (Moodle 1.9, mahara 1.5 on a MacOS x.4.11 machine)   has been working fine for the past 4 months.  Then I did the following on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning...:

1.  Ran updates from Apple, including 2 Java updates and 1 security update
2.  Moved the server from one location to another on our campus.

In between the updates and the move, I BELIEVE I tested the SSO between the two and it worked.  After the move, my SSO is broken.  Now, here's the question...  My server has a static host name BUT a dynamic IP.  The server's IP changed after the move (it moved into another subnet on our network).  Is there a chance that this would be what broke my SSO?  I am about to go over and restore the server to the image I took before I moved it; however if that does not fix it I'd like to have at least some confirmation that this could be a problem so I can get our network folks to do me a static IP as well as a host name...

Thanx

Quick update to my previous post, the problem APPEARS to be resolved, and all I did was restore from my backup from Tuesday evening before the relocation....  Weird.
