I have a working instalation of Mahara 1.3 and I'll like to integrate with Moodle with the Mahoodle scripts.

What version of Moodel do you recomend to go with?

I am quite familiar with Moodle 1.9.10, but I have seen that version 2.0 has been officially released. How stable is Moodle 2.0 for a production site?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Roberto.

I wouldn't go with Moodle 2.0 right now unless you can deal with a few glitches here and there, and have a user base that can self-adapt to the new features without a bit of training. A few areas have changed bit; nothing unsurmountable but depending on your users it can be a 'dead easy' or 'wtf!' scenario :-)

If you don't need the new portfolio API features, you could start with 1.9.10, as the functionality is 100% the same. When you upgrade to 2.0, you'll simply get the new portfolio features (and in the future, the repository features too).

We are staying with 1.9.x for this academic year (sept. 2010 to july 2011) while we pilot 2.0 and train teachers for the next year.

Saludos.
Iñaki.
