Mahara is able to embed objects that have the <embed> or <object> tags

This requires you to go into jvideodirect and select a link that shows html code for embedding.

Copy this code and paste this into a text box using the html code.

jvideodirect may not produce code in this format it might only produce code with the imap tag in which case this won't work.

You can use this process to embed any web object that produces html code that can be copied and pasted into an html

I can't see anything in jvideodirect for embedding code but it does seem to haveYoutube videos which are able to be embedded.

regards

Craig

Hi Craig,

JvideoDirect produces both Link and Embed code.

http://www.jvideodirect.com/images/screenshot/ajax-playback-page.png shows the mechanics of this.

We'd prefer to embed rather than link if possible.

If others have recommendations for alternative video-streaming/sharing platforms which can be run inside schools we're open to suggestions. Our requirements are a platform which allows each student to have their own private channel, authenticated back to the school's existing AD with SSO between Mahara and that application.

Regards,

Andy
