Where is dataroot?

Hello again,

 This is the main error message I'm receiving.

[Sun Feb 15 13:13:25 2009] [error] [client 98.220.43.2] user Muscle: authentication failure for "/": Password Mismatch [Sun Feb 15 13:13:30 2009] [error] [client 213.6.73.229] File does not exist: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/search.php, referer: http://66.147.240.161/~carsale2/

None of those errors look related to the dataroot directory problem.

If you have access to the directory through FTP or by SSH, make sure you chmod it to 777, or change its owner to the webserver user (if you're able to do this).

I do hav access to the directory through ftp, not sure what you mean by chmod it to 777 or change its owner to the webserver user. Where exactly on the ftp screen do I do that? I'll continue looking. Thank you for the information.

Depends on what FTP software you're using. I suggest you read its instructions or try searching the web for more info on how to do this.
