Well, the permission denied error is gone (and the strange thing is that I *do* run cron as the webserver user), but the cron jobs are still hanging. Running the task manually produces no errors whatsoever. I'm going to change it to a curl task instead of php and see if that does anything.

I changed to curl and there are no longer any hung cron jobs. The cron_site_data_daily function finishes correctly now.
