Making my profile public

Hi,

I'm doing something wrong. I searched all the help/forum topics, but still my profile, which I set to public, cannot be accessed without logging in first.

Can someone tell me if there is a config.php or such setting that restricts the public setting?

I have the public setting set to Yes, I made my portfolio view available to the public, but when I navigate to my installation (on a different web browser) I can't see a search tool to find my site or anything. If I paste the full URL to my profile, I'm still forced to login.

I am really sorry to ask these basic questions, but I'm hoping someone has recently done this and can help. I have Drupal, LimeSurvey, and Moodle working, but I can't figure out how to see my own views in a new Mahara installation when I'm not logged in - I can't find the documentation I need.

Help!?

Thanks for any and all support,

-George

Hi,

did you check he setting in the admin area:

Allow public profiles   Yes  No  Help
If set to yes, users will be able to set their profile Views to be accessable to the public rather than only to logged in users

Here you will find it xxx/mahara/admin/site/options.php
