I have been working on a new (my first) Mahara application for a the last couple of days. I am on a deadline and having some issues with where to find all the files to get the updates done that I need.

I am trying to duplicate the Flash Crawler \ News Ticker that are on the Mahara.org home page. Our organization is looking for the home page to be a dynamic one stop shop area to feed important information to our users instead of having to click around to see multiple views.

I am also trying to get my calendar to be a sideblock instead of a view on a different page. I tried the profile tag, but it doesn't work in this application.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Really just looking for the latest forum/blog postings. I see this functionality already built in here in the forums. Can anyone point me in the correct direction in how Mahara handles this so I can get this displayed on our site?
