Hi Christian,

I think you have possibly ran into a bug in Mahara 1.0.8. I made a patch soon after it that may help you, but we haven't released 1.0.9 yet. But we'll do that today. When it's released, could you give it a go and see how you get on?

I don't think the dbprefix should affect things one way or the other - but I see your dataroot directory is /tmp. Heinz tells me this is until you arrange some other place to write to, but I will put a warning here for anyone else reading the thread - /tmp is normally cleared out on reboot, and is writable to by other users, so is a bad place for dataroot.

Hi Heinz,

 I had the very same problem as Christian. I followed your advice of not renaming the 

$cfg->dbprefix = ''; and it worked a treat. I had previously changed the prefix.

Hi Nigel,

 i know about the facts according to /tmp. My Hoster will provide another directory in the next days.

I´ll try the new version 1.0.9 today!

I just installed version 1.0.9. and it works fine!
