Hi

I'm having trouble viewing a parent folder in My Views.

I have created a folder and loaded artifacts, and later moved it to sit within a "parent" folder I created later.  Now when I add the folder to a view, I am only getting the sub folder, not the parent folder.

Any ideas on how to view the parent folder that shows the artefacts and the sub folder within it?

Hi Liz

Each folder has a unique address eg /artefact/file/index.php?folder=51004

Go onto the folder in My Files and right click on it and select the  Copy Link location option.

Now go into a view and paste this address into the  link option in a text box block and save the view.

Hopefully anyone clicking on the link in the view ahould be able to get access to the folders and parent folders.

Thanks Craig,

This method gives me access to the complete list of artifacts and folders within "my file" listing, but doesn't  seem to give me the parent folder as the first option. 

Any other ideas?

Sorry for the late reply

This method should display the parent folder.

The root folder is folder=0 - this folder doesn't have a parent so won't display.

If you copy the url of a subfolder of a folder then the parent folder should show (it does for me)
