Links in public views forcing login
10 May 2010, 7:21
Hey folks,
Just need a bit of a sanity check for a Mahara site I'm using.
Site has been configured to allow public views, and on creating a view with 'Secret URL' access and viewing while not logged in, then the initial view page displays fine...
... BUT when you click on any of the links then you are forced back to the login screen as shown below rather than the access being provided through the view without the need for a login.
Now I know that this doesn't always happen, as I've got an identically configured (or as far as I can see) site which works as it should, i.e. secret URL views don't request a login when a link is clicked.
My question then is whether anyone has any ideas about why this is happening, coz I'm stumped!
Thoughts?

Hi Mark
One possible reason is if the links are to mahara views that are not public views, then a login would be required.
The secret URL only applies to one view.
cheers
