Any1 ???

I think there is 3 ways to get norwegian language...

1. edit and translate the LANG files... this is what i dont want...

2. add norwegian LANG files if they exist...

3. translate the LANG files with some software... search an replace with some dictionary,,

Is there any other good ways to get other language???

please please help me....

It works, but there is some word that not are translated....

Do you know if there is a newer language pack??

Is there any application that can translate the word directly on the files? so I can translate EN files til NO files thru a scripts etc.. ????

I don't know of anything like that.  I guess you could easily write a script to submit all the strings to a translation service, but it would get lots of them wrong, so you'd still have to go through and edit all the files afterwards.

Unfortunately the 1.1 version is the only Norwegian translation we have for Mahara.

If you know of someone who would be able to translate 1.2 (or even better: the upcoming 1.3) then please let us know and we'll gladly distribute their translation on our site.

Hello,

If this is of any help, David Drupal developed the following tool for helping to translate language packages:

http://wiki.mahara.org/Developer_Area/Language_Packs/GUI_Translation_Interface

However, where is the code in gitourious? I couldnt find it.

I think that moving from git to gitourious probably made that many language packages HAVE NOT been actually updated in Gitourious, but they migh have been updated as a zip file in the respective language communities.

This is not luckily the case of the Spanish language package, as I pushed all the changes done to the language package to the 1.2 and master branches.

I have also noticed that the information about the language packages haven t been updated reflecting the migration to Gitourious. I can commit to update it, as it is not intuitive for language package mantainers to start using gitourious (at least it wasn t intuitive for me).

Regards

Hi Mari,

David's adminlang tool is here:

http://gitorious.org/mahara-contrib/patch-adminlang

It got moved recently from git.mahara.org to gitorious.

And it would be great if you could update the wiki documentation (you should be able to log in to wiki.mahara.org with your mahara.org login details).
