When I insert some pre-written html into a view via a file in mahara files I end up only being able to view the first few lines, the rest seems to be "filtered" out.

If I try to view the file I get:

"The file displayed below has been filtered to remove malicious content, and is only a rough representation of the original"

This is my html, I know it's not malicious. Perhaps this is caused by some undesirable html code in these files? Or are there settings in mahara to control this?

Thanks for any help, I'm stumped

Hi Gary,

Content created by users has potentially malicious tags stripped out using HTMLPurifier. If you search for "htmlpurifier" here on mahara.org you'll find some other threads with more information.

I can see the need for this feature .. in some cases. In my case I have users that I consider "trusted users" and I'd like them (and myself) to be able to do things that htmlpurifier seems to be blocking. So it would be nice to be able to at least turn it on/off by group/user.

Thanks for the response,

Gary
