Students are filling out the preferred name field more and more. However, because many of them don't realize it full over rides their full name pulled in through Moodle, and then wrecks havoc on search. Is it possible to disable the preferred name field, or better - allow search on full names in addition to preferred names?

I've updated our internal notes as well. we can close this thread.
As you might have noticed, I've been asked to jump into the deep end of reporting issues / feature requests. If i'm not doing it in the place i should be (some are here, some are in the bug tracker) please let me know.

This means that just admins of the web can see full names of students.
Tutors can not see them?!
