Hello,

First off congratulations on the Mahara platform. It is great! I love it, although i have just recently installed it. I am currently getting familiar with it, however I have a little problem and the good thing is that i know where it originates. However, I have not been able to find the solution yet.

When I upload an Icon it tells me it's uploaded but it is not there. When i try to upload a file it tells me:

Upload of filename failed: Unable to create upload directory.

 I know this is a permission issuem but i was unable to find which directiories should be made writable. Could you please advise?

I am sorry if i missed that in the forum...but there are too much topics.

Hi,

Your whole upload directory that you created when you install mahara (hint it's in $cfg->dataroot in your config.php file), and everything inside it, needs to be writable by the webserver.
