Hello, I am new to Mahara and I am facing this problem now...I have a (DV) account on mediatemple.net which is supposed to be a very good place to host websites.
Mahara: Site unavailable
Your defined data root directory,
/var/www/vhosts/hr.jo/uploaddir/, is not writable. This means that
neither session data, user files nor anything else that needs to be
uploaded can be saved on your server. Please make the directory if it
does not exist, or give ownership of the directory to the web server
user if it does.
I am sure that the path is accurate because I always use it with Joomla.
Any help?

Hi,
That certainly seems weird. Is it possible that the webserver that is running Joomla is running as a different user to the webserver that is running Mahara?
