I have a nervous system admin who refuses to enable email on the servre where we are going to be serving mahara because he's afraid it will make the server a target for spam spreaders.  Is there a way I can turn off mahara's mail sending features?

Hi Steve,

You can add

  $cfg->sendemail = false;

into your config.php and that should stop it.  It will also stop the emails you may actually want like registration and forgotten password emails.
