HI.

I'm using Mahara 1.1.3 on a SuSe 11.1 Linux box with MySQL 5.0.67 and php 5.2.9.  Files will not upload to a users repository. I see the file upload icon spinning, but nothing ever happens. I can create directories and upload images for the users icon.

Sounds like an issue with rights issue to me, but to shich directory? i.e. where does Mahara store the users files?

Hi Ian,

They're stored under the 'dataroot' directory which you defined in your config.php file, in the artefact/file subdirectory.  However I don't think the directory permissions will be the problem if you can upload profile icons, because they're stored in the dataroot directory too.

Now I just need to work out how to install the php_exif extension on my production system without getting users upset.
