Hello forum,

I have some problems with uploading a ppt file into mahara, i just get the error message, that uploading this filetype is not allowed. of course, i actived powerpoint in the plugin-administration and the file is just 1,5 mb. (powerpoint 2007 files are working without problems!). i am running mahara 1.0.5 and when i make a file -bi filename.ppt, i get as result a \012 application/msword.can somebody give me a hint what i should/can do?

Hi Thomas,

We removed the 'allowed file types' thing in 1.1.x because of this problem, and if you search mahara.org you'll find other people who had the same problem.

I can't remember if there was an easy solution though.  I'd recommend that you upgrade to 1.1.7 or perhaps just try allowing all file types and see if that helps.
