I want to be able to create a view which contains a menu which contains links to other 'views' which in turn would have links to other 'views' which ultimately would contain a collection of files for downloading and supporting descriptions ( i know how to do that bit!)

I have put 'views' in inverted commas because I am not sure that it is separate views that I want.  i basically have a menu of over 30 items which I need to break down and be more digestible

Can anyone help?

Hi, you can workaround this at the moment by using the HTML block and putting the navigation structure in it and pasting it into each view.

We're planning this feature for an upcoming version of Mahara, you can check out this thread for more information:

Hi John,

another workaround is to use a blogposting for the menustructure of your view thingie.

Here is an example: http://ewiesion.com/mahara/view/view.php?id=859

greetings from Germany

Heinz

thanks, useful.  I notice that both replies use the phrase 'workaround' - this confirms that i wasn't missing something obvious before i started to think about workarounds.
