A command such as

sudo apt-get install php5-xmlrpc

Should do it.

Thanks, Nigel. That would install it in Lamp but I use Lampp (Xampp for Linux) web server package. It serves its purpose perfectly but I am now lost with this xmlrpc install. Thanks again,

Hello j mm,

I recommend installing apache, mysql, php with apt-get. Is as easy as installing the xampp package, there is no advantage using the xampp package.

Well, some don't find find it that easy, others just prefer Lampp's no-frills security. Whatever the case, it has 1/2 million monthly downloads and no defined path to include xmlrpc in the package.

Some of those users are left out to test Mahara in order to combine it with Moodle afterwards. It seems impossible to find updated instructions in apachefriends.org or moodle.org. I must say you have been the most responsive, thanks,
