Hello,

I'm having trouble getting into the admin section of mahara even though it's my site.

I know these are probably novice questions but here goes:

How do I connect to my database?

Once inside the database, where do I find the "usr" table?

Ricardo

Hi Ricardo,

Are you logged in as 'admin'?  As mentioned in the installation instructions, the default password is 'mahara'.

Which method you use to connect to your database is not really a Mahara question; it depends on how you originally set up your server.  It's usually done via the 'mysql' or 'psql' command on a linux server, depending on what kind of database you are using.  There might also be a web-based front end, and shared hosts sometimes provide their own method.

Thank you. I just needed to be reminded. And by the way, now the whole English Language Development department at International Studies Academy  will be using Mahara. It has been eight months in coming but  I'll launch it next week. Come visit. isaglobe.org.

cheers,

Ricardo
