Hi,

I have a controlled group in my mahara installation.  Every time when an instructor places a feedback to a sutdent view, it seems like the system timed out if the instructor takes longer than 15 or 20 minutes.  After click "submit" button, the button text is changed to "processing" and the system sticks at the feedback page.  I am sure my PHP session takes longer than 1 hour to time out.  Is there some setting in mahara I can change so it will not or take longer than 15 minutes to time out?

Hi - normally, if you're seeing behaviour like that, it probably means that a Mahara script crashed, and it hasn't reported the errors to you.

There will be most likely an explanation in the logs as to what's happened. Can you look inside the apache error log for your Mahara installation and see if there are any backtraces or fatal errors there?
