Smart Evidence Support please

Good morning all,
I was wondering if someone could help me regarding Smart Evidence. We have recently started using Smart Evidence to replace our Excel tracking documents, and a few requirements have arisen that we really need support with.
  1. Exporting portfolios without comments
    We need a way to export a portfolio with the option to hide comments. At present, we have created a PowerShell script as a workaround so that the assessor cannot see the feedback exchanged between learners and coaches. While this script is working, it would be far better if this functionality were built directly into Mahara.
  2. Smart Evidence signposting page export
    The Smart Evidence signposting page does not export. We are currently adding screen captures, but this prevents hyperlinks from transferring across to the mapping document. If option one (hiding comments) can be implemented, we would still need the mapping to export correctly from the Smart Evidence signposting page.
  3. Editing annotations after sign-off
    There is currently no way to edit an annotation once it has been agreed and signed off by the coach, unless it is deleted and re-added.
  4. Staff annotations
    At present, learners can add annotations, but staff cannot. The only workaround is to masquerade as the learner, which is not ideal from an audit perspective or in terms of time. If staff were able to add annotations, the name of the person who added the annotation would need to be recorded.
  5. Bulk marking of Smart Evidence criteria
    Is there a way to mark multiple Smart Evidence criteria at once? When covering large volumes of criteria, adding annotations individually is very time‑consuming.
  6. Email notifications
    Is it possible to receive email notifications when Smart Evidence has been submitted?
  7. Linking highlighted evidence
    We would like a way to select an image or highlighted text and link this directly to Smart Evidence, rather than having to add annotations throughout.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. If these queries need to be raised elsewhere, please let me know, as this is my first time posting here 😊

Two of your requirements are existing limitations

  • Export without comments
  • SmartEvidence matrix/evidence map export

Five sound like enhancement requests:

  • Edit annotations after sign-off
  • Staff annotations
  • Bulk marking
  • Email notifications
  • Link highlighted evidence directly

Though, before you log any enhancements, it would help to understand your workflow better as there may be workarounds using existing features (like page/block comments) that could address some of these without needing code changes.
